Knights,
The Council is strong in faith and finances. Once again for the fourth year in a row our Council
is a contender to win the coveted "Star Council" award. We have achieved our quotas for insurance, membership, and activities needed to win.
Our Council pledged $25,000 to help build the new Holy Family Parish Center which is expected to cost
$3mm. Construction is to begin summer of 2017. The theme of the Campaign is "A New Day Begins". Truly the Knights welcome the opportunity to help build our new home for Parish Families, Organiations
and ourselves.
We also presented Alex Brown a second year seminarian at St Charles Borromeo a check for $500.00 to support his
studies.
We also donated $500.00 to the Nazareth Area Food Bank
We awarded two Scholarships to 8th Grade Holy Family School Graduates , Christina Amrick and Christopher Miller
in the amount of $750.00 each to support them in attending Bethlehem Catholic HS in fall of 2017.
We held our fourth annual Race for Life at nearby Notre Dame HS on June 3rd and raised over $4K which will be
donated to Pro-Life Charities "Save the Storks" and Mary's Shelter.
Our Council won the K of C State of Penna best in class for Pro-Life initiaitives 2017.
We sponsored a Pro-Life Paper Tee Shirt for the Holy Family 7th Grade School Students April 24th. Certificates
and cash awards were presented to the three winners.
On Father's Day June 18th @ the Holy Family Parish 11:00 AM Mass we held a renewal of Wedding Vows and a
special blessing for all Fathers.
On June 25th following our 11:00 AM Mass we held a wreath laying and brief prayer service at the Monument to the
Unborn in front of Holy Family Church.
On July 15th join us at Nazareth Days. Our Knights will offer sand art for the Children and Hair Beads for young
girls/ladies. Meet you at Borough Park 9 AM - 3 PM.
