Grand Knight’s Message – I would like
to thank everyone who turned out to help at Nazareth Day and the Church picnic. Back to back weekends is a lot to ask of people.
Thanks again for volunteering your time for our council.
Please pass the word to any Knight from our council about the picnic on September 6 at Terry Dunne's place. Officers with
telephone call lists should be placing calls to those listed under their names.
It would be great to see those who can't make the meetings. Also, if you have a
potential candidate who would be interested in becoming a Knight please invite
them and their family. If you will be bringing someone as a potential member
please give me a call so I can let Terry know of additional people attending
the picnic.
We will be starting up two new programs for the children attending Holy Family School and attending C.C.D. classes. There is Alcohol and Drug Abuse
poster contest and an essay contest on how being a Catholic influences their
lives. I'll have more information about these programs at our next meeting.
Sales time,(our way to raise
funds to support our interests in Church and community activities), is right
around the corner. We will start selling football and C.O.A.L. tickets, Keep
Christ in Christmas, and Entertainment Books, before and after Masses again.
Please try and help out at what ever Mass you attend.
Please remember all our brother Knights and their families who are in need of
prayers.
God Bless,
John Kelly, Grand Knight
Fraternal Report – It is with great
sadness we report the passing of our Brother Knight Tony Polkowski. He can remembered for his years of devoted service to our
council and parish. He will be missed. Kindly remember him and his
family in your prayers as well as those Brother Knights and their family members
who are ill and/or recuperating at home or in the hospital. Also, please
continue to remember and pray for the souls of our other deceased
members. One of the most important ways Knights support each other
is through prayer, especially at times of illness or death. Anyone knowing of a member of this council or a council member’s
family who is sick or in need of assistance should contact any council officer.
Council News- The
October meeting will start with the praying of the rosary at 7:30. Welcome
to our new District Deputy Bruce Wermann.
Please consider stopping by to meet him at our next meeting. Also, it is
Football Ticket, Entertainment Book and COAL Ticket sale time. Please help out with sales
whenever possible and consider stopping by before and after mass in the future
as sales will also be taking place in the back of church.
Membership “Blitz” is coming on
the 18th and 19th of October. Please
consider inviting a friend to join and also supporting the effort in
October. We need members present at all masses to answer questions,
accept applications or just show our presence in the church.

prospective new member should contact Membership Chairman PGK Bill Tanzosh at 610-759-3161.
Rose and Rosary
Presentations – Monthly presentations of a
rose, Rosary and Rosary ring to the mothers of infants being baptized are held
at Holy Family. Volunteers are always welcome to conduct or assist
in conducting the presentations. We are currently looking to train new

a success of our Council Family Picnic on Sept 6th despite the bad

57 Knights and their family members met to enjoy ample food, refreshment and
each others company. Special thanks goes out to all who made the
event possible especially Brother Knight Jeff Lerch for volunteering his tent and time to the
party. The Social Committee will be planning a similar family party in
the Spring to be held at the Nazareth Borough Park . Stand by for more information on this event plus a
